I’m sure you were thinking that I was going to give some awesome news. But if you think that deleting my last blog and making a new one is awesome, well then here ya go!! I got tired of trying to figure out how to change my background and only making it worse when I thought I was fixing it. So I decided to delete Adventure’s of the Albrektson’s and create Ashley’s Adventures. This blog won’t strictly be just about me. I’m sure it will mostly be about Anekah, my beautiful daughter, and Chris, my handsome husband then about me at all. So, I'll just update ya’ll about family stuff so that I can take a few days and make another AWESOME post! :)
We’ll start with Anekah first….. She is getting so big! Makes me so sad to think that she will be 2 years old in 2 months. I can’t believe that she is already this old. I remember the first time I saw her sweet face. It was a long, hard labor. All I wanted was to see my baby’s face and to know if I was having a boy or a girl. Once I realized we would have an Anekah Dean and not an Carrson Douglas I started to freak out because I had NO PINK!!! Everything was either yellow or green because we didn’t want to find out the sex. I got so upset and told my mom and husband to go to the store and buy all the pink they could get. Needless to say, they did not do as I asked, but I have made up for not having anything pink by only dressing Anekah in pink, daily!! Every once in a while she will wear something other than pink. But at night, it’s pink, I assure you!! I love being her mommy. Even though some days are really hard to get through since she has entered her TERRIBLE TWO’S!! And when I say terrible, I MEAN terrible! I like to say that “she has the mouth from the south”! She doesn’t say many words yet, but I know that she is telling me off in her deep, raspy, jibber jabber voice of hers. 9 times out of 10, I have to turn my head when I am disciplining her to laugh because she cracks me up when she is in trouble. Her bottom lip sticks out so far and she lowers her head and stares right at me and starts this puppy whining sound. It’s too cute! She’s too cute!! I love her with every ounce that’s in me and thank my Father daily for blessing me with the opportunity to be her mother.
I can’t mention Anekah without mentioning my hubster, Chris. Yes, you read it right, it says hubster!! :) Chris and I will be celebrating our 4th year of wedded bliss next Thursday. It’s so hard to believe that we have been married for 4 years already!! We’ve done a lot in those 4 short years. We’ve lived in two apartments, bought a dog (our adorable Dixie May Albrektson), bought a house, bought three vehicles, and had a kid!! To me, that’s a lot of stuff in 4 years. I’ll admit that it hasn’t been easy being married, but we made the decision that we would ALWAYS stay married no matter what. We both come from broken homes, and we know what that does to children and we don’t want to do that to our children. Chris is a wonderful husband and father. He works VERY hard to make it possible for me to stay home and raise Anekah and our future babies. I’m so blessed to be able to call him MY husband! I don’t tell him enough how lucky I am, I’m working on that. But I am, really!!
So, I think I will leave this post now. I think that I have given a TON of info for my many readers (i don’t think i have any actually ::sad face::) .
